Julia Child’s inspired Beef Bourguignon

My love for French cooking is endless. Especially the genius Julia Child with Mastering The Art Of French Cooking. I came across her beef bourguignon and couldn’t resist but give it a try. The following recipe is my modified version. Enjoy !

 Ingredients

  1. Beef cut into cubes
  2. Parsley
  3. Potatoes
  4. White onions
  5. 1/4 cup red wine
  6. Bay leaves
  7. Garlic cloves
  8. Salt
  9. Pepper
  10. Olive oil

Instructions

  • Prepare your onions and potatoes into slices and sprinkle salt and pepper on the beef
  • On medium heat, have the oil in a pot or skillet and place the beef in it to cook on 5 minutes total time

  • Once the beef Browns take it out and place the chopped onions to sauté

  • Once the onions become tender place the beef back in and let the flavor soak together then add your red wine , salt , pepper , garlic cloves and basil leaves then bring the heat low

  • Cover the pot and let it cook for 1 hour , check the potatoes 45 mins in to see if they are cooked.

Happy dining!
