Did you know that shrimp is a great source of an anti-inflammatory and works as an antioxidant providing the least amount of calories ingested. This is a local fresh catch of the day from Aruba. Check out this delicious garlic- butter recipe I came up with. Enjoy ! 🍤
- Your preference of shrimp
- 6 teaspoons of butter (serving for 2) double the portion of your serving is for 4 people
- Fresh and dried parsley
- Salt
- Pepper
- Lemons / lemon juice
- Linguini pasta
- Olive oil
- 5 Garlic cloves
Instructions
- In a large skillet defrost the shrimp if frozen by placing it in warm water for 5-10 minutes
- Dry the shrimp from the water and leave on the side. Chop the garlic and drain the skillet , place 2 teaspoons of butter until it melts on low heat and add the shrimp in it
- Sprinkle salt and pepper to taste and let it cook. Stir it once in a while then add the chopped garlic and keep tossing around
- Squeeze one full lemon or an equivalent portion of lemon juice and bring to low heat to boil
- Meanwhile boil the linguini until fully cooked. And garnish the shrimp with crushed parsley and stir it
- Serve the bed of linguini with shrimp on top and add fresh parsley and parm cheese
